The Success of Toyota Lexus in the Market

Toyota has been successful in its endeavor to excel in the field of automobile industry. There are a lot of car enthusiasts who are satisfied with the make of Toyota cars especially the recently launched model of supercars known as Lexus. I am personally impressed with this car because the interior and the exterior parts of this car model is really the best. Despite the high price of it, still a lot of potential car buyers are interested to purchase Lexus. And it is sold out.

Toyota and Tesla Joint Venture in Electric Car Production

Toyota, one of the popular automaker and Tesla, the maker of electric vehicles have joined together in their efforts to manufacture the best electric vehicles in the world. Toyota spent $50 million in their Tesla stake while Tesla bought NUMMI, the plant that was used by Toyota and General Motors in their former joint venture. The executives of both company are confident that their partnership will yield good results.

Crisis at Toyota

A record low demand since last November pushed Toyota to close 1 of its 3 plants in Thailand. This decision comes after millions of Toyota cars had to be recalled due to some defect, which caused them millions of dollars in financial losses.

It seems the Asian sales of Toyota, which used to be a leading car brand, is not doing well. Perhaps it is a result of the issue on recalled cars. It's hard to trust a car brand that faltered with their quality control.

Cars that run on alternative energy

Saving the environment now calls for us to lower our carbon footprint by using clean and green power in any way we can. We can use geothermal or hydro for electricity. Now there are cars that run on solar power but the more popular ones use either electricity or hydrogen like Toyota.

One definite drawback is its steep price so they have to do a lot of creative marketing to convince people that it will save them lots of money in the long run aside from conserving the environment if they will buy a Hydrogen-powered car.
