I just want to tell other used car buyers, make sure you are getting a car that is worth your money. Check everything before you buy! The reason I am telling you this is because I bought a car and I immediately regretted the purchase.
I used to own a Cutlass Supreme. Now this car isn't really a dream car of any kind to anyone. But it was to me. I love the way my Cutlass handled on the roads. Most of all, I loved the interior in this car. Just the way that everything was laid out. I was searching the web just to look at other Olds Cutlasses and I saw this Cutlass that for sale. It was the same year as mine. The color of the car was a burnt orange. NICE! I had to have it!
I had no problems talking to the seller. Every time I had a new question I would call. Every call was answered and I was very happy with the car and the seller. After talking to the seller and taking the time to drive out of state to see it, I finally got to do a test drive. That made my decision. I was going to sell my already owned Cutlass and buy this one.
I had no problem selling my car. I was headed back to buy my "new baby" in less than a week. I payed for the car and was excited to make the 4 hour drive back home in my new car. About half way home as I am driving, I felt something coming through the gear shifter. It was a grinding feeling. I was so ticked off! I barely made it home. I called the guy who sold me the car and I can't get a hold of him at all! He won't answer my calls or reply to any of my messages!
He knew the car would break on me in a matter of time. I called this guy probably 5 times a day for weeks straight. No answer. I took the car to the shop. They said the transmission was shot. On top of all that, the head gasket was blown! I had to pay $2,700 to get an engine and transmission transfer. I was told the Lemon Law didn't apply in the state I bought my car, so there was nothing I could do. Oh boy would I love to see this guy now!
