GM's Answer to Urban Congestion

Urban car of the future may not look anything close to our cars today. As congestion being seen to be the most problematic side of urban traffic, some car manufacturers are trying to solve such problems which are expected to explode 10 to 20 years from now. GM has designed a new concept car in partnership with Segway. They've created EN-V or short for Electric-Networked Vehicle. The vehicle small lightweight, and could be controlled by computer adding a step further to autonomous driving.

The UAW should have seen this coming a long time ago

Chrysler's biggest retardant of growth was the legacy benefits packages the union forced on the company. Despite the troubles the economy went through at the beginning of the global financial crises (with big auto smack in the middle of by the way), the UAW never budged on expensive benefits for its members that the company had to pay out regardless of what the foreign competition was doing prior to and after the beginning of the crises. Let it be a lesson; having a part of a job is better then having no job at all.
