Which is a lot but if you are going to need to carry more whieght go with the mid or full size. 3,000 pounds would be like towing a trailer or boat. Compact trucks usually are a little better in gas, but not always. Check to make sure which is the best for you.
You next want to make sure you have enough room in the actally seating area. You need to think about who all will be riding. You, your workers, you family? You want to look underthe hood and see what engine is best for what you need. Compacts are 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder but if you get a ful size you get get a 6 cylinder, V8, V10, and diesels.
You want to think if you want manual or automatic transmition. Also think about if you want 4WD. Now just think of your budget and think of some of these ideas and more, and see if you can fiind that perfect truck for you.
