Gas prices have been outrageous until recently, but they are starting to go down. I know that is good news to everyone, but here are some tips to help out even more. First of all drive more efficiently. Avoid rapic acceleration and slamming on your breaks too much, just that alone can lower gas mileage 5-33%. Avoid keeping heavy and unnecessary items in your vehicle. It's also good to use cruise control and overdrive gears. You also want to maintain your vehicles engine, just replacing a clogged air filter can improve the gas mileage by 10%. Make sure all 4 tires are properly inflated. Last of all make sure to use the recommended grade of motor oil. These are just a few things that can help you out. Of course you can also try car pooling or combining trips to help out. Good luck, and lets help these gas pricing continue to go down!! Tags: better gas mileage • tips on gas mileage • gas is going down • proper gas maintenance • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

Buying a used car? Here are some things you should consider when looking for a car.Obviously you want to test drive any car you are considering buying. When you are out on your test drive test the brakes. You want to get a feel for them to see if they are going bad. Check to see if any check engine or maintenance lights are on. Check your turn signals, brake lights, head lights, high beams and all electrical options. Also check the heating and air conditioning. You want to make sure your not buying someone else's problems. You should always check the tires to see how soon your going to need new ones. Look under the car and see if there is anything leaking. Look under the hood to see if everything sounds good when running. And finally, always talk to the previous owner, ask about the maintenance history of the car. Hopefully he/sheBuy tells you the truth. Tags: used cars • buying cars • selling cars • used car buying tips • 0 Comments. - Permalink |
